Dr. Rich Constantine
Dr. Rich Constantine founded Evelina Smiles with a simple belief. Dentistry should be personal.
After nearly two decades in dentistry, Dr. Constantine realized that as a dentist and business owner, his passion for the profession went beyond clinical care. He developed a passion for building relationships, helping people achieve their goals, and creating an environment where patients and team members could thrive. Having previously built and led a successful practice, Constantine Dental, he missed having the opportunities to create and be a part of an environment guided by his own vision and values.
That vision became Evelina Smiles.
Dr. Constantine believes every patient deserves to be treated as an individual and that a patient's health care experience and journey should feel personal, because it is. While dentistry often focuses on fixing problems, his philosophy centers on prevention, education, and long-term health. He believes that while it is often overlooked, understanding the connection between oral health and overall wellness is one of the most important investments a person can make in their quality of life.
His approach is personalized and results-driven. Some patients want to improve their health. Others want to restore their ability to eat comfortably. Some dream of having a smile they feel proud and confident to share. Whatever the goal, Dr. Constantine believes the first step is listening.
education & Training
Dr. Constantine earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from Ohio University while attending on a full football scholarship. He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the West Virginia University School of Dentistry.
Committed to lifelong learning, Dr. Constantine has pursued extensive advanced training in cosmetic dentistry and dental implant treatment. These areas remain among his greatest professional passions because of the immediate and life-changing impact they can have on patients. Today, he serves as a clinical mentor for Implant Pathway in Gilbert, Arizona, where he helps train and guide dentists from across the country.

Patients often underestimate the impact a healthy, confident smile can have on their lives. Dr. Constantine is passionate about helping people regain confidence, eliminate discomfort, and smile and enjoy the foods they love without hesitation. His goal is for every patient to leave feeling confident in themselves, confident in their care, and clear about their options for maintaining their health and smile for years to come.
Outside of Dentistry
Outside the office, Dr. Constantine enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, hiking, skiing, attending sporting events and concerts, and continuing to learn and grow both personally and professionally.

Evelina?
Evelina Smiles is named after
my grandma, Evelina.
Most people knew her as Evelyn. She was kind, welcoming, and never in too much of a hurry to enjoy the people around her. Some of my favorite childhood memories were Sunday dinners at her home, making homemade pasta together in the kitchen, and spending time on the family farm surrounded by the sunflowers she loved. She found joy in simple things, valued relationships above possessions, and had a way of making everyone feel like they belonged.
When it came time to build this practice, I wanted the name to carry personal meaning while representing something universal. For many of us, a grandmother represents warmth, kindness, and unconditional care. Evelina Smiles is a tribute to those values and a reminder that healthcare should feel personal.
Just a few steps away, you'll find Jane's Coffee Bar, named after my other grandmother, Jane and known to me as Nana. While Evelyn taught me the importance of being present and finding happiness in everyday moments, Jane taught me the value of curiosity, learning, and meaningful conversation. A nurse, teacher, avid reader, and coffee lover, she never missed an opportunity to sit down with a cup of coffee and ask what was happening in my life. More importantly, she made people feel interesting, heard, and valued.
That's why we created Jane's Coffee Bar and the nearby seating area with the invitation to "Enjoy a Cup with Jane." It's a small reminder of the experience we hope to create here. That experience is one where people feel welcome, where relationships matter, and where getting to know you is just as important as caring for your smile.
Though my grandmothers were very different people, they shared something important. They cared deeply about others. Their influence helped shape the values that guide this practice today. We believe in professionalism and excellence, but also warmth and compassion. We believe in continuous learning, but also taking time to appreciate life's simple blessings. Most of all, we believe that every person deserves to feel seen, heard, and cared for.
Evelina Smiles is more than a dental practice. It's a reflection of the people who helped shape who I am and the values we hope you'll experience every time you walk through our doors.
